Christian Arno

Christian Arno is founder and Managing Director of Lingo24, a professional translation services provider and localization company with 140 full-time employees working across three continents.

Arno launched Lingo24 in September 2001, after graduating with a degree in French and Italian. He’s grown the business over the past nine years and Lingo24’s revenue has increased by over a third in each of the past two years. With clients now in over sixty countries, the company is on course for a turnover of $8m in 2010.

In December 2009, Lingo24 won two awards at the inaugural HeraldScotland.com Digital Business Awards, one in the 'Export' category and one in 'Business to Business'.
 
In March 2010, Lingo24 won two further awards, a Customer King Award from Cisco, and one at the International Trade Awards for the Scotland Region, which was sponsored by HSBC.
 
Lingo24 was nominated as one of the regional finalists in HSBC's Business Thinking initiative, culminating in Christian Arno going on a thought-exchange trip to Istanbul in September, 2010.

Arno has also become a recognized business commentator, and has been enlisted by Brand Republic to give advice for businesses seeking to globalize, while the Sunday Times, Telegraph and Financial Times have also used Arno and Lingo24 as a case study in a range of business features.
 
In 2010, Arno was commissioned to provide regular columns for a number of top online publications, such as E-consultancy, Search Engine Journal and Search Engine Watch.
