Roy moved back to Canada to join Certicom Corp (TSX: CIC) as VP, Marketing & Product Management. While at Certicom, he focused messaging and product portfolio or core strengths helping the company increase its stock price by a magnitude of 10.
Roy spent 4 years working in Silicon Valley at Cisco Systems, where he managed several security marketing and product management teams. Under his leadership, Cisco obtained the leading market-share in VPN and security by acquiring three best-of-breed startups and focused product repositioning campaigns.
Roy has also held senior positions within TimeStep Corp., a VPN startup that acquired by Newbridge. He was the author of several patents and the IETF IPSec VPN standards which are widely used today in all VPN products.
In 1992, Mr. Pereira started Merlin Systems, a pioneering software vendor which focused on Internet and BBS server applications.
